Dr Meredith Prain

Meredith has been working with people with deafblindness since 1995. Beginning as a speech pathologist with Able Australia (then the Deafblind Association), Meredith has worked as a deafblind consultant, project manager and researcher. She has presented workshops and papers nationally and internationally. Meredith completed her doctoral studies at RMIT in 2012, researching interactions between adults born with deafblindness and the staff who support them. Meredith holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology, a Graduate Diploma of Gerontology and a PhD. She currently works for both Able Australia as the National Head of Research and Centre of Excellence – Deafblind and SensesWA as Project Manager of Deafblind Information Australia and serves as a board member for Deafblind Australia and Deafblind International.
